I am Mohammed Mohsin Miyan, Associate Professor and Head, Department of English at Asian University of Bangladesh. I have been with this institution since 2000. My research field is American Literature. Specially, Modern American drama with special emphasis on trends, rituals, experimental theatre, cross-dressing, feminism, taboos, and psychoanalysis. Apart from that I am also working on a research project based on postmodern literature i.e., Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Kurt Vonnegut Jr.
I completed my M.A in English from Jahangirnagar University. Currently, I am doing my Ph.D. from Jahangirnagar University.
At Asian University of Bangladesh, I usually teach both literature and language. My lectures include American and British literature of all the genres; Fiction, Poetry, and Dramas. Post modernism and Feminism are two dominant aspects of literature that I cover in M.A in English classes. Post-colonialism and Modernist literature are also included in my lectures.
My Ph.D. thesis puts emphasis on Modern American Literature and psychological make-up of modern American people which would benefit the nation and future researchers in this field.
