Assalamualaikum,

I am Md. Atiquer Rahman, Professor, Department of Social Work at Asian University of Bangladesh. I have been working here as professor since March 2012. I completed my MSS and BSS (Hon’s) from Institute of Social Welfare and Research. Dhaka University. I teaches under graduate and post graduate program in Social Work at AUB.

Prior to joining at AUB I worked in BCS (education) cadre from August 1982 to March 2011. In this period I worked as Chairman, Department of Social Work, Jagonnath University and Chairman, Comilla Education Board.

Besides teaching I am prominent writer of Social Welfare and Social work Text and Reference Book recognized by the National Curriculum and Text book Board and Public University and National University.

3. Disaster Management and Rehabilitation
4. Advance Social Research etc.

I have been working relentlessly towards making social work education popular among academia. My main focus is to prepare our students for the current job market and making them ethically and morally responsible to the society.
