Abstract
Price gouging and unauthorized hikes are global issues closely tied to inflation, preventing many from affording essential nutrition and medical treatment. Corruption, bribery in logistics, and unauthorized taxation often exacerbate these price surges. This research, co-authored by S. Rayhan Kabir, introduces an innovative Blockchain-based Internet of Things (IoT) model tailored for Industry 4.0 and Blockchain 5.0 to monitor price hikes and eliminate corruption. The proposed mechanism establishes a blockchain-integrated remote database model where the blockchain interacts with a relational database management system using remote database access protocols and Cloud servers. This system allows for an "Intelligent Government" framework to monitor transactions between industrial producers, wholesalers, retailers, and end buyers in real-time. By documenting the evolution of blockchain and industrial generations, the article provides a roadmap for a next-generation decentralized model. This transparent oversight ensures price integrity, detects unauthorized VAT applications, and identifies points of bribery in the supply chain, ultimately fostering a more equitable market environment.
