The grand inauguration of the two-day "AUBIC-2026: 3rd International Conference on Higher Education and Sustainable Development", organized by the Asian University of Bangladesh (AUB), was held today at Hotel Dhaka Regency. The event was vibrant with the presence of national and international researchers and academics, aiming to bridge the gap between higher education and sustainable development.

Video Message from the Chief Guest
A major highlight of the event was a special video message from the Malaysian Higher Education Minister, YB Zambry Abdul Kadir. Although unable to attend in person due to state commitments, his message from Malaysia underscored the international significance of the conference.
In his speech, he highly praised the educational activities of the Asian University of Bangladesh, stating, "Such international conferences will play a vital role in knowledge sharing among Asian countries and in achieving sustainable development goals."
Keynote Discussion & Speakers
The keynote speech was presented by the founder of Asian University and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, renowned economist Professor Dr. Abul Hasan M. Sadeq. In his address, he emphasized the radical transformation of higher education required to meet the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Present as a Special Guest, the Director General of Bangla Academy, Abul Kasem Fazlul Huq, stressed the importance of education based on ethics and values. The session was chaired by the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Md. Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan.
Scope & Content of the Conference
Researchers from various countries, including Bangladesh, are participating in this year's conference. Over the next two days, numerous research papers will be presented on Information Technology (IT), Business Administration, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Islamic Studies.

Atmosphere & Conclusion
Deans of various faculties, department heads, teachers, and students attended the event held in the festive atmosphere of Dhaka Regency.

Following the inaugural session, a special gala dinner was hosted in honor of the guests.
