On behalf of the Asian University of Bangladesh, I am deeply sad to know that scores of students and employees of the Uttara Milestone School and College have been seriously burnt when a training aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force crushed on the College building in the early afternoon today. There are huge damages in the buildings, and many injured students were airlifted to the specialised hospital. Ambulances also transported lots of burnt people to local hospitals.
We express our sympathy to the burnt people and their families as well as the college community. May Allah grant Jannatul Ferdous to the martyrs. We pray for complete and quick cure for the injured people. 
We thank everyone who helped rescue the affected students and staff at this difficult time.
We believe that there will be an urgent enquiry to the tragic accident and the affected families will receive full compensation.
